At Tanzquartier Wien, dance is not just something to watch. This contemporary performance centre in Vienna’s MuseumsQuartier gives choreographers space to experiment with movement, explore ideas and challenge what performance can be. Since opening in 2001, it has become an important meeting point for artists working with the body as a form of expression. Alongside performances by Austrian and international artists, TQW offers workshops, training, research and artist residencies. Its programme crosses into theatre, film and visual art, bringing different disciplines together through live performance.
