Museum Rijswijk

The Rijswijk Museum is the cultural heart of the municipality and seamlessly bridges the past with contemporary art. Housed in a stately white townhouse in the historic center, the museum tells the story of Rijswijk: from prehistoric settlements to the famous Treaty of Rijswijk in 1697. In addition, the museum has built an international reputation through the prestigious Paper Biennial and the Textile Biennial, where artists from around the world demonstrate just how innovative and versatile these materials can be.
