The Fort Pitt Museum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, explores the history of Fort Pitt and the region during the 18th century. Located at the site where the Monongahela and Allegheny rivers meet to form the Ohio River, the museum stands within Point State Park, where the fort played a key role in the struggle for control of the Ohio Country. Exhibitions examine the French and Indian War, the American Revolution and the lives of the Native peoples, soldiers and settlers who shaped the region. Visitors can see weapons, uniforms, maps and other historical objects, alongside a reconstructed section of the original fort.
